RESPECT is growing everyday, everywhere!

Goals and Objectives

  1. Refugee Education

The first goal of RESPECT is to increase awareness and understanding of refugee issues amongst non-refugee students around the world.

The above aim is being met in conjunction with the Ghana office of RESPECT International (an affiliate body) so as to ensure the flow of information between refugees in Ghana and students the world over.

  2. Joint Assistant Sponsorship Program & Refugee Aid

RESPECT Ghana aims at soliciting for sponsorship and to help raise funds on the local and international level to help refugee students as well as source for educational materials for refugee schools in Ghana.

  3. Enhancing Communities Together…

One basic thing that RESPECT International can boast of is its ability to network many organizations as well as communities. RESPECT is now growing everywhere and everyday. It is therefore very important that communities that are capable of helping others would be encouraged to do so by raising funds and sending a care-package to a sponsored refugee school. This goal would also focus on cultural exchange between communities in the course of our activities. We would also encourage the spirit of volunteerism among members so as to help people like refugees and the disadvantaged in society.

Target Group

Refugees are the prime participants in all our activities. The organization is presently dealing with refugee students in schools at all levels -from elementary, secondary, and tertiary as well as those in the paraprofessional institutions. Any refugee student in Ghana who wants to be part of the RESPECT family and benefit through its rich and well designed programs should contact us at the address below. We would be happy get in touch and work with you.

Finances

Presently RESPECT Ghana is being run purely on a benevolent and voluntary basis and virtually all its expenses are being covered by the generosity of the country coordinator and his team. However the organization would like to express its utmost gratitude to a an NGO, (Foundation For Better Tomorrow) FOBET - a local NGO that has been very helpful in offering RESPECT Ghana an office space and sometimes availing its office equipment and vehicle for the running of its field work. Until a time where there might be a need for finding an alternative.

FOBET is therefore acting as a partner organization to RESPECT Ghana in terms of reaching out to refugees in Ghana.

We however hope that in the future our sponsorship drives would be fruitful so that we can get a solid financial base for our programs and activities in order to carry out all its events and programs.
