Refugee School Receives Digital Video Camera
When I was called by the headmaster in N'zerekore, while on my way to an internet café to send a message to the RESPECT International coordinator, I thought it was for just the usual greeting of "Bonjour!" It turned out it was not just to say "Bonjour" but also to have a very good meeting.
I was invited to their warehouse, where I saw a very big white carton tied with paper tape and on it was written "Samuel K. Boateng" - I knew straightaway that Judy and her students had done it again.
I went straight to our new rented office for RESPECT Guinea, which is housed in a building meant for the school computers, which I believe will be ready very soon.
Mohomu refugee students will surely begin the academic year with smiles of joy and happiness as they receive school materials from Palo Community School (PCS) students.
For the second time in their refugee life they received supplies from PCS students, and they will have portable video cameras and be able to see themselves using it to benefit letter writing and enhance their communities together.
The materials received will go a long way to encouraging more students to take part in letter writing and play an active role in RESPECT Guinea activities.
I am going to use one room in our new rented building for RESPECT Guinea as an exhibition room, where letters, gifts and other materials samples will be placed.
On behalf of RESPECT Guinea (Mohomou Refugee School) I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Palo Community School students and teachers — especially Mrs. Judy.
As they Bible says in Psalm 41 -
"Blessed is he that consider the poor, the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive." (King James version).
And such is you Mrs. Judy Huynh and Palo Community School students.
Words alone are not enough for me to say thank you Judy, but I want to tell you that God will continue to bless you and your family and all those who contributed to sending such unforgettable school materials which can cost about 30000GF to the poor and needy refugees students who are below the poverty line.
To the parents of the students, we want to use this medium to thank you for remembering us.
All that RESPECT Guinea is saying anytime — whether early in the morning, during the day or in the evening — when you hear the cock crowing then you know it is RESPECT Guinea (Mohomou Refugee school students) saying a very big thank to you all.
God bless PCS students, and God bless Marc of RESPECT International.
God bless America.
