RESPECT Ghana Gets New Patron

The entire RESPECT Ghana team wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Ms. Alice Boateng Cooper for her decision to be a Patron for RESPECT Ghana.

Alice who has been a friend to RESPECT Ghana is currently a doctoral student at the University Of Georgia School Of Social Work in the United States of America (USA).

She conducted a recent exploratory study at the major project site of RESPECT Ghana, Buduburam Refugee Camp.

Her major interests are Refugees’ rights to work and to be self-sustaining.

Her decision to be a Patron came at a time when the RESPECT Ghana Team will be meeting with the Project Officer for World Computer Exchange (WCE) assigned to West Africa to discuss the Way Forward for a Computer Resource Center Project that began late last year.

Her support for RESPECT Ghana activities was also expressed in her desire to personally work on collecting some slightly used computers and shipping them to Ghana as her contribution towards achieving the global principle behind RESPECT International.

RESPECT Ghana, once again wishes to welcome Ms. Alice Boateng Cooper, who some of the team members want to address as Auntie Alice for her decision to become part of the RESPECT family. It is hoped that through collaborations and networking, RESPECT shall accomplish tremendous feats in enhancing communities together.
