RESPECT Tanzania Working to Access Camps
In the last few days, a very intensive exchange of mails and information has taken place between RESPECT International and RESPECT Tanzania's coordinator, Ms. Kaanaeli Kaale in order to apply to work in Tanzania's refugee camps. At the request of Ms. Kaanaeli, RESPECT has produced a set of letters to be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs in Dar es Salaam in order to gain access to those camps.
RESPECT Tanzania will work in collaboration with Tanzania Media and Youth Development Association (TAMEYODA). Tanzania Media and Youth Development (TAMEYODA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization working toward building the capacity of youth to participate in the social, cultural, environment and economic advancement of Tanzania. The organization was formed in Dar es Salaam in 1998 and registered in March 1999.
Both Marc Schaeffer (RESPECT International Coordinator) and David Gonzalez (VP Communications) are working closely with Ms Kaaneli to set up of RESPECT's activities in the area. The relationship will surely bring benefits for the refugee community of the Tanzania.
