Letters from Japan to Mohomou Refugee School
Seiichi Terashima's class of thirteen year-old boys and girls in Yatabe-East Junior High School wrote to their first set of refugee pen-pals in Mohomou Refugee School. Even though they have only been studying English for a couple of years, they did an excellent job! The letters are very nice and many of them are well decorated.
Below, you can find two examples of the letters they wrote:
Dear Mohammed,
We are very glad to be your pen-friend.
We live in Japan's Tsukuba City and we like to study English. We are both Asian boys. We want to become friends with you through this letter. When we hear that we can have a pen-pal, we are glad and if we have a chance to visit your country, we want to meet you and your friend. We hope one day we can play together.
Sincerely Yours,
Zhichao and Tomoharu
Dear Chris,
Hello. Thank you very much for your letter. We are 13-year-old girl students. We live in a beautiful town with a lot of nature. We play tennis in the tennis court of our school every day. It is very fun!!
What sport is kick-ball? Please teach us how to play it. We want to play it with you some day. We wish that you are healthy from the bottom of our hear. We are fine.
Good-bye!!
Akiyo and Natuski
