Annual Poster Contest
The theme for this year's contest is "The Connected World: What binds us together?" Students from all parts of world are encouraged to enter the contest by creating artwork relating to the theme.
We will select winners in several age categories among refugee and non-refugee students. Entry information and rules can be found on RESPECT's website.
While there is no charge to enter the contest, the prizes are immeasurable. Each winner will receive a certificate and their entries will be displayed in exhibits worldwide. Grand prize winning entries will be reproduced into postcards used by RESPECT International for initial correspondence between refugee and non-refugee student partners. However, the greatest prize is the message exhibited through the artwork that unites youth and adults alike to help refugees around the world.
All entries must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2005, so please encourage your students to send their artwork before this date. RESPECT International has been raising funds and educating communities for years and as part of a connected world, let your art take an action to bind us together!
"Crossing the Border: Stretching My World" was the theme for 2003-04 RESPECT poster contest. Dozens of entries were submitted from students worldwide. Last year's contest had entries only from non-refugee students. We selected two winning entries from each of three age categories; 11-12 years, 13-15 years, and 16-18 years.
